The first is “Inner Blocks To Losing Weight: Why You Lose The Battle More Than The Weight.”  The focus here is on unresolved psychological issues–i.e., blocks–that can keep you on the proverbial roller-coaster ride of losing weight, then sabotaging and regaining the weight, then losing some again, then regaining, etc.  Examples of these blocks include:

• addiction to self-rebellion
• underlying anxieties
• loyalty conflicts
• emotional suppression and deprivation
• relationship power struggles

A central concept utilized throughout the book is the term “inner bully.”  In brief, this refers to the subconscious negative “force” inside that is the driving force behind your self-sabotaging pattern.

Most importantly of all though, I present a variety tools and exercises for once and for all getting off the self-sabotaging roller-coaster, and getting on–and staying on–the successful right track.  Examples of these include:

• the use of a “symbolic object” to use at meals and snacks to tackle your inner bully and control your eating
• tools for guilt management
• exercises for improved overall self-discipline on the food and exercise fronts
• creating alternatives to food for pleasure and comfort
• resolving underlying fears or anxieties about losing weight
• building up self-esteem and self-worth
• resolving sabotaging relationship power struggles

My other book–the source of my other offered seminars/webinars–is called “Your Self-Sabotaging Inner Bully: Standing Up To It Once And For All.”  The focus here is on broadening the application of the problem of your tendency to sabotage yourself into life contexts well beyond weight loss.  These especially include:

• significant relationship self-sabotage
• sabotage patterns of behavior in the workplace or during schooling

Underlying, inner-bully-triggered reasons for self-sabotage are suggested, especially including feelings of:

• betrayal
• unresolved traumas
• negative childhood communication patterns presented by parents and other significant adults
• neglect or abandonment
• unresolved feelings of marked guilt and/or embarrassment and/or shame and/or failure
• negative role-modeling of success in marriage, the workplace, or during schooling

As with my weight loss seminar/webinar, effective tools and exercises are offered for “standing up” to your self-sabotaging inner bully.  These include some of the same tools and exercises described above for weight loss control, as well as tools like:

• personal penance
• permission work
• anger and stress management
• trauma resolution
• training in more effective communication skills
• developing emotional catharsis outlets
• more spiritually-oriented tools like mindful meditation

Last but not least, I am also offering seminars and webinars on topics like addiction, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), grief and loss, anxiety and panic disorder, and bullying.
